A German Landsknecht costume from the Kasseler Fundus, after 1909
Elaborate costume made of green and reddish-brown wool fabric, consisting of a beret, doublet, pluder pants, a pair of tights to wear underneath and a pair of high leather lace-up shoes. All pieces are made in the style of 16th century slit fashion and partly lined with linen of a different color. The lining of the trousers bears numerous stamps from the Kassel collection. Signs of age and wear, partially worn and in need of repair.
