A helmet M 1915 for enlisted men of the Line Infantry
Black lacquered leather skull (warped, major abrasions) with iron mountings (corroded, traces of original gray lacquer). Emblem attached with leather wedges, neck guard (ventilation slider), fixed smooth point with plate and four round-headed pins, button 91, cockades and leather chinstrap missing. Good brown leather flap lining (dry, occasional minimal flaws). Incomplete, partially damaged, signs of age.
