An officer's fur cap of the Brunswick Hussar Regiment No. 17, circa 1900
Assembled from old parts. Body covered with black sealskin (rubbed). Colpak of ponceau red cloth (small moth holes). Silver skull, gilded brass bandeau with names of battles: Peninsula, Sicily, Waterloo, Mars La Tour. Convex chinscales (crews) on geometric rosettes and officers' cockades of lacquered sheet iron. An officer's field insignia of silver canillas and black velvet (incorrect) inserted at the top. Black leather flap lining (rubbed, occasional small holes). Lanyard and plume socket missing. Partially slightly damaged, signs of age.
