An Easter egg flacon "City Palace Berlin", KPM, after 1871
Colored, glazed porcelain egg, decorated in raised gold, original stopper with movable ring, three-legged silver stand, marked sun, crescent moon, crown, "925" at the bottom. On the front of the egg a gold-framed cartouche with a view of the Berlin City Palace. Signs of use and age. Height of the egg approx. 8.5 cm. Emperor Wilhelm II also gave eggs in the style of the Russian tsar gifts at Easter, in an upscale handcrafted design. Cf. Köllmann/Jarchow, Berlin Porcelain, pp. 636, 637.
