A helmet for officers of the Anhalt Infantry Regiment No. 93, circa 1900
Assembled from original parts. Black lacquered leather body (front seam open) with gilt brass mountings, neck strap. Screwed, beautifully gilded line eagle (double holes), applied star with coat of arms for teams and reserve cross heavily repolished. Flat leather-backed chinscales on rosettes, officers' cockades (Prussian national cockade incorrect). Plate with four star pins, pearl ring and smooth screw point. Red and green lined visors, ochre-coloured rep lining (worn), sweatband of ochre-coloured imitation leather, old size designation "53". Partially damaged, signs of wear and age.
