An old style small sword for officers of the infantry, 20th century
Collector's item. Nickel-plated thrusting blade of diamond-shaped cross-section, the stamped mark "E. & F. Hörster Solingen" at the root. Gold-plated non-ferrous metal knucklebow hilt with hinged quatrefoil (hinge pin replaced by wire) and grip with silver-plated copper wire winding. Attached golden lanyard. Good brown leather scabbard with brass mountings. Minimally damaged in places, signs of age. Length 92 cm. Rare with scabbard and very representative.
