A felt helmet for artillery men, circa 1915
Field gray felt body, non-ferrous metal fittings. The eagle emblem on the front, fixed by leather wedges. Plate with four round-headed pins (two replaced by nails), rigid ball finial. Curved chinscales (field artillery, probably replaced) on button 91, both cockades made of lacquered sheet metal. Lashed lining of dark leather, in the body the paper label of a Luckenwalde manufacturer with size designation "56". Partially slightly damaged, signs of age.
