A sabre for members of the Guard Field Artillery, circa 1900
Property piece. Slightly curved, nickel-plated single-edged blade without maker, rich decorative etching on both sides, with the inscription "Garde Feld Artill.Regt.", the Guard star and a maneuver scene on a blued background. Knuckle-bow hilt (somewhat loose) with nickel silver grip frame, iron grip back (pitted) and sharkskin grip with simple wire winding (loose). Slightly damaged in places, signs of age. Length 101 cm.
