A Damascus sword M 1889 for infantry officers Damascus steel single-edged blade with double fullers on both sides, "M. Neumann, Hoflieferant Berlin" etched on the back, the gilded name "Seiffert" on the obverse side at the base. Gilt, non-ferrous metal knuckle-bow hilt in rich relief with a crowned Württemberg coat of arms on the guard plate, brown horn grip (small defects), wire winding, pommel cap with a ruler's cipher "KR" (King Karl) in relief, an applied monogram "HS" on the inside of the guard plate. In the original lacquered black steel scabbard (occasional dents, traces of rust) with a movable suspension ring. Blade slightly stained and somewhat chipped. Hilt somewhat loose (reassembled after disassembly). Partially slightly damaged, signs of age. Length 99 cm. Rare and luxurious. Condition: II
