A German percussion pistol made by Joseph Bartholomäus Kuchenreuter in Regensburg, circa 1800
Smoothbore octagonal barrel in 12 mm caliber, silver inlays at the muzzle and over the breech, signed in silver on top and brass-filled mark, fixed rear sight with two folding leaves on the tang. Converted percussion lock, French set trigger. Beautifully grained full stock with brass trigger guard and ebony furniture. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Fore-end broken in the area of the stock nose, cracks on the right below the lock plate. Length 38 cm.
