Two percussion pistols, circa 1840
A pistol with a rifled octagonal barrel in 11 mm caliber. Smooth, converted percussion lock, French set trigger. Half stock with lightly engraved iron furniture, grip with chequering. Length 42 cm. Comes with a long pistol, made using old parts. Smooth, two-stage octagonal barrel in 17 mm caliber, percussion lock, inscribed "V. Sauerbray in Basel" on the lock plate. Recessed stock with iron furniture and chequering on forearm and grip. Length 50 cm. Both pistols with signs of age, iron parts cleaned, spotted and slightly pitted in places.
