Two Hanoverian shooting targets, one dated 1927
Round softwood targets with polychrome frames in oil paint. One target depicting a scene with a rider next to a carriage on a palm tree promenade painted in fine perspective, framed by a finely detailed flower tendril, in the upper half the inscription "Gegeben von Assistenzarzt Dr. Rorbacher". Diameter 33 cm. Another target with a depiction of two wild boars in a winter forest, inscribed in the picture "Gestiftet von H. Behre". The inscription reads "Schießsport - Klub - Hannover - gegr. 1925 Zum Abschiessen 1927 gestiftet von O.H. Bonitz/Erschiessen von H. Behre 1927". Diameter 50 cm. Color mounts somewhat bumped, one target with stress cracks.
