A pin-fire revolver, Loron system, ca. 1865
Cal. 9mmLefaucheux, SN. 5639, six-shot, proof ELG/*. 150mm barrel with corroded bore. On left side of barrel housing marked "Loron / Breveté". All metal parts bright with light pitting. Folding trigger. Dark brown walnut grip panels with signs of age and use. Mechanically in good order with signs of fatigue. Single action only. Length approx. 27 cm.
Pierre Antoine Loron competed with Lefaucheux in Liège in 1865 with his pin-fire revolver. On the Loron revolver, the barrel and cylinder can be pulled from the cylinder axis for loading by turning the bolt lever on the left through 90°.
