Pin-fire revolver by Kirschbaum, Solingen, ca. 1868 Cal. 12mm pin-fire, SN. 6992, pitted barrel, length 15.5 cm. 6-shot cylinder. SA/DA. Bead sight inserted in barrel. Rear sight as notch in hammer. Side-mounted ejector. Loading flap on the right. Folding trigger. Barrel, frame, trigger and cylinder marked "40". Cylinder marked with Prussian. Eagle above "SP" (Solinger Probe) above Kirschbaum mark (helmet in circle), as well as crown above "H.R" (plastered). On the right at the barrel base "Kirschbaum/Solingen", on top "12mm" under eagle/"SP", on the left "Sme Lefaucheux". Plastered vine engraving on frame and cylinder. Heavy signs of use, patinated. Walnut grip panels with chequering, slightly chipped. Tang ring. Good timing.
