Cal. 7mmLefaucheux, SN. 27241, not matching numbered. Rough barrel, length 83 mm. Cylinder with crown/HR. Six-shot. Double action. On left side of barrel root marked "Sme. Lefaucheux", at top in oval "Probirt R", below "7 m/m". ("Probirt" = old spelling for "probirt", "R" stands for firing by Riffelmann). All inscriptions difficult to read. Presumably old refinishing, this heavily spotted. Folding trigger. Wooden grip panels.
