Provenance: copy of the architect Charles Nizet, stamped on the title pageJules-Frédéric Bouchet, architect, draughtsman and engraver, was awarded the second Grand Prix de Rome in 1822. Like Clochar, Gautier, Percier and Fontaine and so many other architects who took part in the English "Grand Tour", he spent five years touring ancient Italy. This book is part of the connection between archaeology and architecture.
