German proof mark 1971, both pistol barrels marked "Colt" on top, on the left caliber designation and US proof mark. The "Lord" pistol with complete, original bluing on barrel, the grip frame made of brass. Light wooden grip panels. The "Lady" pistol completely made of brass, with white mother-of-pearl grip panels. The pistol pair embedded in bordeaux red velvet fabric, laid out in a casket, on the lid framed on the left the portrait of a man, on the right of a lady, in the middle three lines inscribed "Lord and Lady/Deringer/Colt".
