An Austrian carbine M 1798 for hussars
Round, smooth bore barrel in 18 mm caliber. Flat lock with brass pan, hook safety missing, double-headed eagle and place of manufacture "Brescia" on lock plate. Walnut stock with brass furniture, stamped "1.1.+244" on the lobe of the butt plate. Tailstock and barrel ring made from one piece, screwed to the lock side plate. Metal surfaces slightly rough. Length 85 cm.
