Steyr Mod. 1896, Military training rifle Cal. .22lr, SN. C457, matching numbers. Bright bore, length 43 cm. Single loader. German proof 1977, complete refinishing. Partial rust pitting on barrel and receiver. Sliding rear sight scaled 3 - 17. tunnel front sight. Top of receiver marked crown/CI (King Carlos I), on the guide "STEYR 1896". On left at transition from receiver to barrel "Orion" importer's stamp and proof mark, on barrel left under sight caliber indication. Eagle on breech face on the right, next to it T in a circle. Walnut stock. Sling. Cleaning rod. Made from a Mannlicher short rifle mod. 1896. 95 cm long. Rare.
