We would like to thank Madame Sylvie Lombart-Mossa, granddaughter and great-granddaughter of the Mossa painters and President of the Mossa Symbolic Association, for confirming the authenticity of this work and providing the following details: "As the sun sets in the west, opposite the Luerna, its rays illuminate the Crémat hill where this house was built. The Baous de Saint Jeannet is in shadow, as are the hills on the other bank of the Var.
This is one of the last watercolors by Alexis Mossa, who, at a very old age, lived at La Luerna and continued his prolific activity as a watercolorist until the end of his life."
