Auguste PAILLETTE - 1925's Plate brooch with openwork geometric design enhanced with black enamel and pavé-set with brilliant-cut (old-cut) and 8/8-cut diamonds, including three larger diamonds in the center. Set in platinum with Auguste Paillette's hallmark. French work. Gross weight: 12.79 gr. Dimensions: 4.9 x 1.9 cm. Weight of the three main diamonds: approx. 0.60 - 0.60 - 0.30 carat. (one small diamond missing, one replacement white stone, microchips in the enamel, traces of soldering on the reverse as the pin is mounted later). Auguste Paillette was registered in 1921. This fine jewelry house produced a wide range of pure Art Deco jewelry, including brooches, bracelets and earrings. He notably worked for René Boivin.
