BORDEAUX 1781 - 1782
Pair of cast silver torches and candleholders, engraved with a coat of arms surmounted by a comtal crown. The poly-lobed base is enhanced by a frieze of oves and interlacing - repeated on the top of the shaft, the bobèche and the binet - alternated with a rocaille cartouche engraved with a coat of arms surmounted by a comtale crown. The bell is chased with draperies and a scalloped edge. The hexagonal baluster shaft is embellished with a garland of falling flowers around the rim.
