Rectangular writing desk in ebony and blackened wood inlaid with brass and gilt bronze fillets.
The upper handle features two hands clasping. It opens with a leather-covered top revealing compartments. The sides are decorated with openwork cartouches and brass fillets.
Signed on the lock "Alphonse Giroux à Paris".
