LEGA R. D. CONGO
Flat mask from the BWAMI initiatory secret society, of good size, depicting an oval-shaped human face,
set within a heart. Almond-shaped, pierced and scarified eyes. The nose is long, thin and splayed, with a scarification mark. Half-open mouth with incised lips. Extensive cheek scarification.
Very fine antique kaolin patina. Holes for raffia ornaments.
