HENRIOT QUIMPER, "2. U: Flotille" "Kriegsweihnachten 1941" soup plate commissioned by the KRIEGSMARINE for the 2nd U-boat flotilla for Christmas 1941.
In yellow-glazed earthenware, decorated with a U-Boot submarine with the inscriptions "2. U: Flottille" and "Kriegsweihnachten 1941", the wing decorated with four étalinguées anchors. Signed on the back "Henriot Quimper".

Note: The 2. U-Flottille, known as the "Unterseebootsflottille Saltzwedel", was founded in Kiel on September 1, 1936. In June 1940, it was assigned to the Lorient submarine base, then transferred to Norway in August 1944.
