Belgium, late 18th - early 19th century. AN9 type gendarmerie pistol signed GOSUINS in Liège. Cal. 15.2 mm. All metal parts with slight gray patina. Flat-body flintlock lock signed "Gosuins à Liège" and stamped "V", flat-body hammer. Round barrel with short thunderbolt sides, unmarked or stamped. Walnut stock with long barrel and steel fittings. Steel ramrod with nail head. Functional mechanism with two clear, play-free cocking notches. Inside of barrel with minor surface oxidation. Gun in its original condition, never previously in collection. Needs cleaning. 24.5 cm (barrel 12.7 cm). (Minor damage to the wood near the cap. Fairly good condition).
