Model 1822 light cavalry officer's saber from the Manufacture du Klingenthal Septembre 1829.
Gilt-melted brass mounting (remains) chased with foliage, wooden spindle tied and sheathed in brass-filigree basane, with no visible hallmark or maker's mark. Tie missing. Slightly curved blade with stained gray patina, hollow front and flat back. Marking on the back of the blade "Manufacture Royale de Klingenthal Septembre 1829. s.a" and illegible hallmarks on the heel. Steel scabbard with 2 suspension rings, with tobacco-colored patina and traces of oxidation.

(In original condition, never in collection. Wear and tear, handle basane missing and watermark damaged, guard plate beak slightly deformed, small bumps on blade edge. As is).
