Senior Artillery Officer's sword, signed "S & K" for Schnitzler Kirchbaum in Solingen, without scabbard.
Gilded and chased brass mounting, pommel with foliage wreath slightly inclined forward, with fiolacé motif on the base. Joint arch chased with foliage with median leonine face. Suboval keyboard decorated in the center with a hexagonal cartouche stamped with a fleur-de-lys, resting on six flags between oak and olive branches, cannons, cannonballs and a powder keg. Slightly sloping flat quillon decorated with a fiolacé motif. Scarlet wool tie. Straight blade with flat back and hollow side, blued and gold in thirds and chased with floral motifs and trophies of arms. Signed "S & K" in a cartouche on the heel.
