Model 1845 infantry officer's saber.
Gilt cast brass mounting (remains), cap with laurel leaf border. Filigreed horn spindle. The top is carved with vegetal motifs and rosettes. The bow ends in a rolled quillon. Scarlet wool tie. White blade, hollow front and flat back, unmarked. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings, with stained gray patina and minor traces of oxidation.
