Model 1845 infantry officer's saber.
Gilt brass mounting. Cap with laurel leaf border. Watermarked horn handle (watermark missing). Carved top with vegetal and rosette motifs. The arch ends in a rolled quillon. Slightly curved white blade with hollowed edge and flat back with gutter near the back, unmarked. Natural buffalo tie. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings, with stained gray patina.
