Curious Chassepot system rifle (model 1866), faded markings and shortened.
Cal 11 mm. No serial number. All white metal parts stained in places. Brass fittings, trigger guard with Dreyse-type hand rest. Shortened and converted walnut stock, with cheekpiece, unmarked (tiny trace of boxwood pastille). Rod missing. Functional mechanism, needle present. Inside of barrel dirty with good scratches.
