Small jug, China, Five Dynasties/ Song Dynasty. Very light stoneware body, dark brown, thick, opaque glaze, leaving an area free above the stand ring. Bellied shape, short curved spout, two molded loops on the shoulder of the vessel, molded handle. Minor retouch to the spout rim. Minimal chipping to the rim. Otherwise in very good condition.
