A BIDRI SILVER-INLAID TRAY AN EYE FOR DETAIL: PROPERTY FROM A PRIVATE ESTATE IN NORTHERN LONDON Bidar, Deccan, Central India, second half 19th century Of rectangular shape, resting on four slightly splayed bracket feet, with a gently everted rim, the interior decorated with concentric bands featuring flower heads and foliage in the centre, encased within a repeating star-shaped grid, followed by a thin chevron band, and further stylised foliage and peacock feather designs around the rim, the crenelated lower edges inlaid with silver rosettes, the base with old inventory stickers, 3.5cm x 24.5cm x 18cm.
