A MOTTLED RED SANDSTONE JALI SCREEN SECTION Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, Mughal India, 18th century Carved and pierced, the fragmentary screen of trapezoid shape presenting an elegant lattice of geometric motifs irradiating from a pair of six-pointed stars located in the middle, mounted on a dark metal stand, 29.3cm x 48cm including the stand. Provenance: London Private Collection since the 1980s.
