TWO PANELS OF POLYCHROME CUERDA SECA POTTERY TILES WITH GEOMETRIC STAR MOTIFS Possibly Sindh, Northern India, and Morocco, Northern Africa, 19th and 20th century Comprising a panel made of twelve square tiles, the red earthenware body covered in white slip and painted in cobalt blue, turquoise, and yellow, repeating the same motif consisting of a central roundel in-filled with an eight-pointed turquoise star medallion with floral collar in the middle, irradiating two superimposed sixteen-pointed stars in blue and yellow, each square tile 15cm x 15cm; and another panel of six tiles, painted in turquoise, blue, yellow, and red, with starburst design featuring both hexagonal and octagonal star patterns, each square tile 12.5cm x 12.5cm.
