A SINGLE GOLD-DAMASCENED STEEL BAZUBAND (ARMGUARD) Qajar Iran, second half 19th century Of typical elongated rectangular shape with a convex ogival arch at the top, the steel exterior inlaid in gold with vegetal scrollwork and engraved with cusped cartouches in-filled with dense floral sprays, with three square buckles on the right hand-side and some chainmail remaining to the lower left hand-side, 34.5cm long.
