A COPPER LUSTRE-PAINTED KASHAN-REVIVAL STAR-SHAPED POTTERY TILE Iran, 18th - 19th century Of typical eight-pointed star-like shape (khatim sulayman), painted in brownish copper lustre against white ground, the front decorated with an elaborate floral motif with a rose spraying in four directions and generating smaller rosette and rose stems with foliage, set against a hatched ground, the outer edge enhanced with a free-flowing continuous naskh band, the reverse plain, marked with the inventory number 315 in red, 24cm long.
