Porsche 996 GT3 Phase 2 Designed in the famous Weissach workshops, Porsche's research and development center for motor racing, the Porsche 911 GT3 996 (Phase 2) develops 381 hp at 7400 rpm and maximum torque of 385Nm at 5000 rpm. At the time of its conception, this sports car was quite simply the fruit of all Porsche's racing experience. Porsche's aim at the time was to produce a sports car that would be equally at home on the road and on the racetrack, a rather ambitious objective given the characteristics required to be at ease on these two very different playing fields. To ensure maximum safety, Porsche equipped the GT3 with a high-performance braking system. With the 911 GT3, aerodynamics were at their height at the time. Its 3600cm3 naturally-aspirated flat-6 engine is water-cooled and equipped with VarioCam. It features titanium connecting rods and lightened pistons to reduce moving mass and ensure lightning-fast revs. The valve train was borrowed from motor racing, enabling the engine to reach a maximum speed of 8,200 rpm! The 911 GT3 engine also features oil cooling via an oil-water heat exchanger, and dry-sump lubrication with a separate oil tank. The VarioCam system delivers impressive torque and power at all engine speeds, with 385Nm from 5000rpm! The model we're presenting today was launched on April 21, 2004 and is fitted with a GT3 RS Aerokit Cup (large spoiler, special shock absorber, etc.). It comes with 2 wheel sets (including a Cup 18 set) and its service history is very complete and up to date.
