19th century school circa 1820
Panorama of the city of Edinburgh
Aquatint
22.5 x 205 cm
This set of four aquatints (one of a kind?) is very close to the work of Mary Stewart (1773-1849), a Scotswoman who in 1823 drew a panorama (four panoramic views) engraved by William Westhall and printed in London "for the benefit of the Deaf and Dumb Institution of Edinburgh."
