Rectangular, molded porcelain snuff box with gilded metal frame
Meissen, circa 1750-1760.
Decorated on all sides with polychrome painted scenes with figures, each highlighted by a rocaille frame of shells and roses. On the inside, when the lid is opened, the most beautiful and delicate of all the painted scenes decorating this box can be seen on the reverse.
