JEAN TRANCHANT (1904-1972)
Personnages célestes or Les Volleyeurs, very probably one-of-a-kind, circa 1930
Rare and interesting modernist clock. Proof in nickel-plated metal. The two figures, treated in a cut-out style, rest on a single-tiered platform received by a circular base and support, for one of the silhouettes, a circle studded with balls forming a dial and, for the other, a sphere. The central ball houses the movement on the inside and the hands (not original) on the outside. Missing a small ball on the circle, hands changed. H.38cm
