Germany, 2nd GM. KM model 38 officer's dagger. Gilt brass frame, fluted wooden shaft sheathed in orange celluloid with brass watermark. White nickel-plated blade etched with marine anchors, dolphins and foliage, with logo and "WKC" manufacturer's marking on the heel. Hammered gilded brass scabbard with oak leaf bracelets. In mint condition, never before seen in a collection. (Age-related wear and patina, one missing piece and two small cracks to the celluloid, small dents to the scabbard. Fairly good condition). Note: KM daggers with hammered scabbards were generally used by surface ship commanders and U-Boats.
