A superb, rare and iconic cushion-shaped yellow gold "mid-size" watch, black "Sigma" dial, luminous gold hands and applied hour-markers, permanent central seconds and date at 3 o'clock. Screw-down caseback, quartz movement caliber E23 SC. Original gold bracelet with folding clasp. Comes with case, Archives Certificate (dated September 2023), additional links and service pouch. The watch is in excellent, working condition, with hands changed during service and a few superficial micro-scratches from use. Note the sought-after eggshell patina of the indexes and the dial, which has taken on a very attractive bluish patina over time. Produced only over a short period from 1984 to 1990 and mostly in steel, this rare "boy size" reference 3900, here in its gold version, is a real treasure from the Nautilus collection.
