Rolex, Submariner Date 300m, Ref. 16800, n°6530xxx, Full-set, original warranty from January 23, 1982. A beautiful steel diver's watch, an interesting transitional model that retains the painted dial with sapphire crystal and quick date change. Graduated rotating bezel, superb black patina dial, luminous patina hands and hour markers, permanent central seconds, date at 3 o'clock. Screw-down caseback and crown, calibre 3035 self-winding mechanical movement. Original Oyster steel bracelet with folding clasp and extension blade, Ref. 93150/F. Box and counter-box, booklets, "punchée" Paris guarantee of origin, seal, anchor and calendar. The watch is in excellent overall condition, the dial turning a flawless mouse-gray with a very nice, even patina of the luminous material, hands and insert ball. The chamfers are still perfectly visible on the case, the movement is in excellent condition and the unidirectional bezel is functional. We leave it to the future purchaser to decide whether or not to carry out a light polishing, which we do not willingly endorse, as the watch is very pleasing as it has come to us. A relatively rare opportunity to access a beautiful vintage iconic object from the brand with the crown. The reference 16800, produced from 1979 to 1988, differs from the 1680 by the use of a sapphire crystal that increases diving capacity to 300m. Our transitional model retains the unmistakable charm of the painted dials, but with the updated movement (quick date). Diameter 40 mm A fine stainless steel full-set diver's wristwatch, transitional model with painted dial but sapphire crystal & quick date change, revolving faded bezel, very fine patinated black dial, luminous patinated hands & indexes, sweep center seconds, date at 3. Screw-back and crown, automatic winding movement caliber 3035. Original steel Oyster band with deployant buckle ref. 93150/F. Fitted with its original outer-box, box, documents, anchor, Parisian punched warranty, calendar and seal. Rare in this condition, very nice cream patina of the luminous indexes and hands, case in very fine condition. We leave to the future buyer the choice, or not, of a light polishing which we do not willingly condone, the watch being very pleasant as it came to us. A relatively rare opportunity to access a beautiful and iconic vintage watch from the crown brand. The reference 16800, produced from 1979 to 1988, differs from the 1680 by the use of a sapphire crystal increasing the diving capacity to 300m. Our transitional example retains the unrivalled charm of the painted dials but with the updated movement (quick date).
