This kris has an unusually patterned pamor (damask technique) on the straight blade and a finely carved handle in the shape of an ornamentally designed rakshasa, a protective demon, dissolved in scrolls and tendrils. The simple wooden scabbard, which derives its aesthetics solely from its grain, contrasts with the rich decoration of the weapon.
