Morino Kako (1899-1987) Porcelain vase with tapered body, celadon-blue glaze, with Morino Kako potter's mark on the base. In its box, inscribed on the lid. Japan, Showa period, 20th century H. 26 cm Note: Morino Kako was a Japanese potter who first studied painting at Kyoto Painting College, before turning to pottery. Selected for the 1945 Imperial Exhibition, he subsequently received an award from the Japanese Academy of Arts. Appraisal: Cabinet Ansas, Papillon De Léry, Paris.
