REGAIN HOUSE. Elm-wood sideboard with three doors resting on four straight legs. Circa 1980 (Dim.: 95 x 55 x 214 cm)
This piece of furniture, with its minimalist curves, lack of ornamentation and carved handles, is part of the Brutalist movement that marked post-war architecture and design. It can be compared with Charlotte Perriand's emblematic designs for the Les Arcs resort, and those of Pierre Chapo, who collaborated with Maison Regain.
