Nasr, is of great value for the history of the city. Nasr, is of great value for the early Islamic history of Central Asia for the Tahirid and Samanid periods of the region, with many details from local traditions dating back to pre-Islamic times, as well as data from otherwise lost works, such as khaza'in al-ulum and the Fasl al-khitab.
