Ottoman Empire, Turkey, dated Hegira 1255 (= 1839) Manuscript on paper, in Arabic, 170 leaves, calligraphed in naskh script in black ink on 11 lines per page, a few words in red, illustrated with two illuminated and polychrome sarlowhs, as well as depictions of the sacred sites of Mecca and Medina, with illuminated and polychrome verse separations of various shapes. The colophon gives the date 1255H. Bound in brown morocco with stamped and gilded decoration.
