Near East, probably Syria, 8th-10th century Tripod with globular body and flared neck, in transparent glass with slight brown iridescence. Condition: good H. 6.5 cm This decoration of applied pastilles is similar to that on a 7th-8th-century Syrian gourd in the al-Sabah collection, Kuwait (Carboni 2001, p. 43, cat. 1.9), thus pointing to the origin of this piece. A miniature pale green glass flask, Syria, 8th/10th century. Provenance : French private collection, acquired at public auction in 2015.
